Students in ENVS 360 (Outdoor Programming & Event Management) spent the semester planning Earth Day Events in collaboration with several local Richmond community partners. Part of the class coordinated with RVA Paddlesports to host two separate “Paddle In Your Park” events in Henrico County Parks. The goal for these events was to help build community while also reducing barriers to access within the outdoors.  Another group (pictured) partnered with the James River Outdoor Coalition to organize a Gear Swap at the RVA Earth Day Festival. Proceeds from this event will help with  improvements and maintenance of the James River Park System.
