The Inger Rice Lodge at Rice Rivers Center was home base to 12 veterans during Beyond Boundaries’ annual Veterans Day weekend adventure program, held on November 11 -13, 2023.  Participants traveled from as far away as Florida.  This is the second year Beyond Boundaries has included Rice Rivers Center as part of their event.

“I have heard from multiple veterans who have participated in these programs that they help them immensely,” said Travis Overstreet, Roanoke program director at Beyond Boundaries. “Staying at the center away from all the daily distractions helps ease what goes through veterans’ minds.”
